About Sarah

“I believe that everyone should have access to high-quality mental health support whenever they need it; and being a qualified Clinical Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist in practice permits and enables me to help many people.  My aim and purpose are to empower people take back control of their lives, build their resilience and move forward. Ultimately, I want to help people achieve a better state of positive mental health for a happier, brighter future both at work and in their personal lives” Sarah Coward, DSFH.

Sarah’s previous business marketing background combined with her Hypnotherapy Diploma makes her ideally placed to understand and relate to the real-world business situations and stress that clients of Glow Corporate Wellness might have experienced and to be able to help.

After 25 years’ experience in senior marketing communications in both the public and private sectors, Sarah changed the direction of her career and started training for CPHT’s highly regarded Hypnotherapy Diploma – the only nationally recognised and externally accredited award in hypnotherapy in the UK. In 2023, she graduated with a Diploma in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH), and this has given her the skills to help others in a more meaningful and transformative way – especially for those trying to make positive changes to their lives.

Sarah’s Diploma is a practical qualification – informed by the latest research and neuroscience – and has equipped her to start Your Best Mind Hypnotherapy with professional confidence.

Why did Sarah Retrain – in her own words..

I’ve always had the desire to help people, and September 2022 was a point of significant evolution for me. I decided to retrain after experiencing for myself the positive effects of hypnotherapy – it greatly benefitted my mental health.

Hypnotherapy has helped me to rediscover my own inner resilience, my strength and confidence, and to maintain an intellectual, solution-focused approach to dealing with the daily challenges that come with parenting a young adult with a chronic illness. Using hypnotherapy and applying the knowledge I have gained about its principles and techniques, along with an understanding of the workings of the brain, enabled me to maintain hope and resilience.

During my course and over the past year, I’ve benefitted from real-world experience in hypnotherapy. Between study modules, I focused my practice on people who have anxiety-related conditions, while being supported by my lecturers (both in-class and remotely). This meant that I gained valuable experience safely while I was in training. My Diploma is a practical qualification – informed by the latest research and neuroscience – and has equipped me to start Your Best Mind Hypnotherapy with professional confidence.

I can honestly say that hypnotherapy gave me back optimism and hope for the future. A friend of mine (a practitioner) offered me therapeutic sessions to help me cope when I was struggling with heightened anxiety, brought on by caring for one of my teenage sons who has a serious and long-term mental health condition; in the course of the past three years, he has been hospitalised several times as a long-term inpatient. I now have hope and resilience as I support both my beautiful son and my wider family; to be better able to cope and provide support through the ups and downs this illness has brought into my family life.

I am passionate about supporting everyone’s better #mentalhealth. I help plan and organise fundraising activities and events to support children’s mental health charities, including ‘In Charley’s Memory’.

When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy walking with my family in the beautiful North Somerset countryside and woodlands, cycling, swimming, reading, or enjoying a night out at the theatre or cinema. I’m a busy mum who’s juggled work and family life for 21 years and it’s been the privilege of my life raising my three sons and being the best mum that I can be.

About Emma

It has been my privilege to have a career where I can support people to live their best lives possible, helping them to transform their health and wellbeing to be vibrant, resilient and feeling fabulous.

My interest in health has been lifelong and from a very early age I was fascinated with the body and how it works. An early memory is being in school and having to present a display of our hobbies and interests. While other children showed football or collections of money boxes I brought in my collection of Body Shop products and talked about the body and skin from what I had learnt reading books.

I trained as a holistic therapist and went on to study complimentary therapies such as massage, reflexology and aromatherapy where I discovered an interest in plant based medicine. That was more than 30 years ago and over that time I have added additional therapies such as nutritional therapist, hypnotherapy and functional medicine having gained varied experience within the natural health care industry from 20 years lecturing in anatomy and physiology, aromatherapy and nutrition to clinic work, supporting individuals, corporate wellbeing training and gut test interpretation. All with one goal in mind- to support as many people as possible to make positive changes in their wellbeing.

Glow Corporate Wellness has come out of a passion and a genuine desire to help people become healthier, happier and live longer. My desire is to inspire and empower people to make informed healthy choices for themselves and their families, to improve their wellbeing and bring their lives into balance and to enable them to live healthier and longer lives.

Recognising health as a dynamic interconnected web of different components that is personal to the individual, I have identified 6 health beacons that all need to be in balance for the individual to achieve health and wellbeing. Focusing on only one or two areas will not achieve an equilibrium and may lead to chronic ill health. Change is hard and even when we know we need to make changes, the transition can seem impossible to achieve, this is where the support and guidance of a health coach is invaluable. I support and facilitate change and transformation through motivational positive psychology, solution focused hypnotherapy and education.  I love my role in supporting life changing transformation, it is wonderful to see people change before my eyes, becoming versions of themselves they never thought possible and seeing them thrive.

I live in Somerset, UK with my husband, teenage twins and our dog, Luna. When I am not working or looking after my family, I love pottering in the garden with a particular interest in herbs. I love walking and reading but also enjoy a good dance around the kitchen.
